Mulhearn Funeral Home have been offering after care services to the families we have served for over 25 years. For the past 5 years we have partnered with Dr. John Canine and his staff at Maximum Living to provide licensed grief counselors to any family which may be in need. We have monthly support groups at our funeral homes in Monroe and West Monroe. This after care program has allowed the Mulhearn Family to help many individuals and families through a very difficult time in their life.
Our family services representative, Dianne Guillot, is active in our Mulhearn Support Group and we hold lunch meetings twice a month for our groups to come and share with one another. We also sponsor field trips for our support group to be able to travel together to fun and interesting locations. This group is open to anyone in the communities we serve and there are no fees for these services. Dianne holds an advanced bereavement facilitator certificate from the American Academy of Bereavement. She has attended numerous hours of in-service training seminars dealing with the grief process. She is very aware through her training of sending a bereaved person to Dr. Canine’s staff or medical doctor.
Dianne is very active in our community, working with the Ouachita Council on Aging, West Ouachita Senior Center, C.A.B.L.E., Citizens Emergency Response Team, Senior Olympics and Quota International. She is an active member of the Ridge Ave. Baptist Church.
Dianne is available for speaking engagements in our community. She has a program called Life after Loss and simple monologue called “Walter”, that she can talk to any civic, church, youth or school group. She is very attentive to the needs of children and has helped our local school systems when tragedy occurs.
