My prayers and thoughts are with the family as they go through this difficult time. Mr. Head touched many lives in his many years in the education system of Union Parish. I, for one, will never forget his leadership and ability to communicate his love of music through his teachings. He was a wonderful teacher and was very loved.

Mr. Head was a fine individual. He taught me many things in my life. He helped me develop a sincere appreciation of music at a young age. I will carry many fond memories of him in the band hall at Junction City. God broke the mold when he made Mr Head, there certainly aren't many people of his quality left. Condolences to the family, as I know you will miss him terribly.

Mr. Head was a very special teacher to lots of us! He taught us to love music. I started leading music in my church in 1977 and I am still at it. He inspired us to learn music in a fun way. I still have my trumpet and play it ever so often. Not only was he one of my teachers; he was a friend, we worked together in the Bernice Vol. Fire Dept. and Ambulance Service and he played the piano several years for our "Baptist Men's Day" at Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was always willing to help in any way that he could. May the Lord give his family and many friends comfort during this time. As he would say "GO BEARS"...

Mr. Head simply was "music". My memories go all the way back to grade school, and how he so joyfully taught us and shared his gift. He truly wanted everyone to have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument. Such a wonderful man and teacher. He will be greatly missed. I pray for comfort for his family and countless friends.

It saddens me to learn of Mr. Head's death. He was full of life and love for his students and fellow man. He was a wonderful band director at Junction City. His memory will always live on there with the song he wrote for the school"I'm So Glad". I am sure it is played til this day. It was a great privilege to have known and have worked with Mr. Head. May God bless you all during this time.

I loved Mr. Head. He was the greatest band director ever. I remember one year when he took all of us to Dallas for a band competetion. He was a very brave man for taking responsibility for so many teenagers. You just had to love him.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Head and for the grief of loosing a loved one for all his family and friends. Our physical existence is a fleeting proposition, brief at best, but the soul enduring forever carries forward when our bodies can journey no more. When I think of Mr. Head, two things come to mind, his infectious smile and his love of music. I can imagine Mr. Head in Heaven with his baton telling the Angels, "...alright guys, let's take it from the top, one more time." God Bless Mr. Head and his family.
