Celebration of life for Charlene Rountree, 78 of Monroe, formally of Winnsboro, will be 5:00 until 7:00PM Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Mulhearn Funeral Home-Winnsboro.
Charlene was born on June 30, 1939 in Corpus Cristy, TX and passed from this life on July 20, 2017 in Monroe.
She loved gardening, took a master gardening class, loved to spend time with family, loved to sail on sail boats, loved the water and beach, took scuba diving lessons and became a certified scuba diver. She loved her church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years-Harry Rountree III; two daughters-Diane Wells and Millicent Rountree; and her parents-Charles David and Mildred Martin Bryant.
She is survived by her son-Bryant Rountree of Little Rock, AR; two grandchildren-Josh Russell and wife Liz of Baton Rouge, LA and Holly Matter and husband William of West Monroe, LA; two great grandchildren-Julian Matter and Stella Russell; and numerous family and friends.
Interment will follow later under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
