Mrs. Dorothy Winn

A funeral mass celebrating the life of Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” Winn, 96, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 20, 2018, at Grace Episcopal Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Whit Stodghill officiating. Inurnment will be in Grace Episcopal Columbarium under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Friday in Kilbourne Hall at Grace Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Winn was born May 5, 1921, and died April 16, 2018, at Ridgecrest Community Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Winn was a member of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in West Monroe. She was a Eucharistic minister, served on the Vestry and was a graduate of Education for Ministry and attended Cursillo. She graduated from Ouachita High School and attended college at Milledgeville Women’s College in Georgia. She was a member of the Daughters of the King and P.E.O. Dottie and her husband, Alex, opened Winn Trim Glass Company over 72 years ago. She was a past president of the Quota Club and was a Life Master Bridge Player.

Mrs. Winn was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander M. Winn; son-in-law, Bill Everitt; and her sister, Bonnie Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Raymond Winn and his wife, Harryette; daughters, Arlyne Everitt and Dee Bowling and her husband, Larry; grandchildren, Scott Everitt, Debbie Welker, Timothy Everitt, Wendy Everitt, Matt Winn, Ashley Tonore and her husband, Gerald, Angie Sebolt, Michelle Andrade and her husband, Javier; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, Grace Episcopal Church or the Daughters of the King.
