Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Williams Shivor, 100, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 5, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating.  Burial will follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA.

Mrs. Shivor was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Wisner, LA, and attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Shivor, parents, John and Leona Williams, and sisters, Wanza Gordon and Ethel Lofton

Survivors include her children, Ila Hood and husband Cecil, Robert Shivor and wife Elaine, Cecil Shivor and wife Elise, Pearl Horton and husband Robert, Roy L. Shivor and wife Sarah; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and seven great- great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Long; brothers, John Williams, Jr., Clemmon Williams, and Melvin Williams; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mike Hood, Douglas Shivor, Jason Pierce, Wesley Coker, Nicholas Coker, Josh Cannon and Corey Coleman.

Visitation will be from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Wisner, LA or your favorite charity.

The family would like to thank the staff of Avalon Place for the special care given to Mrs. Shivor.
