Funeral services for Mr. Albert Edwin Dewees, 68, of Calhoun, LA. will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday July 26, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in West Monroe with Rev. Jon Tellifero and Rev. Marla Munn officiating. Burial will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mr. Dewees died July 23, 2008 at his residence in Calhoun, LA. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in West Monroe, the Calvert Crossing Senior Men’s Golf Association, Louisiana Conference of Social Welfare. Ed was a past member of the Rotary and Optimist Clubs. Ed was a member of the LSU Alumni Association and the Tiger Athletic Foundation. He retired from the Department of Health and Hospitals/Medicaid as Regional Administrator.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Amy Hood Dewees; daughter, Whitney Davison of Choudrant, LA; son, Jason Dewees and wife Jessica of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Michael and Emily Davison; cousin, Betty Maddry.
Pallbearers will be Larry Furlow, Bo deBlieux, Hillman Willis, Richard Harris, Howard Hobson, O’Neil Falgoust, JimTurner and Ted Lamprich.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Huckabay and the Senior Men’s Golf Association at Calvert Crossing.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday July 25, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Memorial may be made to the First United Methodist Church in West Monroe.
