Funeral Services for Mr. Art Walters, 78, of Downsville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 1, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Pastor Mark Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.
Art was born on April 1, 1932 and passed away in Ruston, LA on July 29, 2010. He loved working in his yard, and traveling. Mr. Walters was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, William Walters; and his daughter, Kimberly Ball.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Walters; grandchildren, Megan LaKae of Downsville, LA, Taylor, Shannon and Kaylee Ball of Halley , PA, Jonathan Ball of Waverly, LA; step-sons, Joey Ball of Waverly, LA and Bryan Keith of Hawley, PA; son, Rick Walters of Monroe, LA; mother-in-law, Eula Rose of Ruston, LA; sisters-in-law, Barbara Lenard of Downsville, LA, Elaine Hayes and husband, Dale of West Monroe, LA, Kathy Arsement of Rayville, LA and Dianne McBroom and husband, Todd of Vicksburg, LA; brother-in-law, Dennis Rose and wife, Lisa of Rayville, LA and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
