Graveside Services for Mr. Aubrey Ray Walker, 94, of West Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM Monday, June 14, 2021, at Aulds Chapel Cemetery in West Monroe with Rev. Gordon “Skip” Dean and Rev. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Aulds Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Walker was born April 4, 1927 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 8, 2021. He was member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Walker enjoyed bird watching, horseback riding, and anything to do with construction. He worked for Tennessee Gas for many years. He then began his construction career. Aubrey R. Walker, Inc was established in 1963. Mr. Walker started commercial construction in 1965. He was instrumental in building the first four fire stations in Ouachita Parish. Mr. Walker was a member of AGC. He was most famous for his concrete jobs in the 1980’s.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Suzie Walker; infant sister, Zelma Faye Walker; and brother, W.A. Walker.
Survivors include his wife of 40+ years, Claudine P. Walker; two children, Kerry Walker and wife Vickie, and Hannah Beckham; step-daughter, Kim Etier; four grandchildren, David Walker, Shelly Scott and husband Bo, Chloe Beckham and Dillon Beckham; two great-grandchildren, Abel Walker and Joel Scott; sister, Betty Mae Gates; brother, James Alfred Walker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Bassel Mahgoub, Faris Mahgoub, Chad Hall, Samer Mahgoub, David Walker, Steve Walker and Wayne Walker.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Glenwood Regional Medical Center as well as Elara Caring Hospice.
