Audrey Riddle "Be" John

AUDREY RIDDLE “BE” JOHN Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe, LA   Audrey Riddle “Be” John, 91 left this earthly life peacefully on April 21 while living with her daughter and son-in-law in Lenoir City, TN. She was born June 2, 1915, in Marksville, LA, the daughter of Charles Addison and Margaret Robinson Riddle. Mrs. John moved to Monroe in 1935 following her graduation from LSU and marriage to the late Mike John, Jr. Others preceding her in death were a daughter, Gloria Riddle John, a brother, Charles Riddle, Jr., and a sister, Thelma “Sis” Hardin. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Mickey Yerger, Lenoir City and Gail and Ray Berry, Geismar, LA; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Shawn Yerger, Knoxville, TN, Scott Berry and wife Lisa and children, Peyton, Gloria, Matthew and Auburn of Plano, TX; Chris Yerger and wife Zarah and children, Molly and Michael of Knoxville; Will Berry and wife Dorie, and children, Reed and Dylan of Geismar, LA; sister-in-law, Rita Riddle, Marksville, LA; Jerry John Mulhern, Monroe as well as 13 nieces, nephews, and cousins.  During her life-time, Mrs. John was an active member of First United Methodist Church, the Collins/Parker-Wossman Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women, Ft. Miro DAR, Magna Charta Dames, The Peyton Society of Virginia, Daughters of Colonial Wars, Order of the Crown of Charlemagne, Plantagenet Society, First Families of South Carolina, Huguenot Society of South Carolina, Jamestown Society, Daughters of American Colonist, Americans of Royal Decent, Colonial Dames of XVII Century, Daughters of Founders and Patriots, Daughters of 1812, and Kappa Kappa Iota teachers sorority. Mrs. John taught for 18 years at Lee Jr. High.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church on Loop Road at 2 PM with Rev. Terry Love officiating. Visitation will be at 1 PM. Private family burial will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Gloria Gardens at First United Methodist Church, 3900 Loop Road, Monroe. Pallbearers will be Scott Berry, Chris Yerger, Will Berry, Glenn Hardin, Robert Riddle and Jim Butler.
