Graveside Services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Gates, 76, of Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Gates was born on May 14, 1933 and passed away on June 26, 2009. She was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oren O. Gates.
She is survived by her sons, James Phillips and wife Kathy and Paul Gates and wife Diane; step son, Michael Gates and wife Libby; step daughter, Lottie Ray and husband Harold; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
