Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Midkiff Dowd, 66, of Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM
Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Bible Missionary Church, 1146 Finks Hideaway Road, Monroe with Rev. Stuart Hallam officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Dowd passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008. She was a charter member of the Monroe Bible Missionary Church. She was also a member of the Gideons Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Polly Midkiff; sisters, Sharon Bailey and Beverly Midkiff.
Survivors include her husband, John Hardy Dowd; sons, John David Dowd and wife Judith of Tulsa, OK and Barry W. Dowd and wife Heidi of Monroe, LA; daughter, Sheila K. Seward and husband Brett of Parma, ID; grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Hannah, Sarah, Jeffrey, and Leah Dowd and Dana and Darcy Seward; brothers, Albert Lee Midkiff and wife JoAnn of Yawkey, WV and Noel “Butch” Midkiff of Shreveport, LA; sister, Nadine Rae Snodgrass and husband Morris of Pleasant Grove, AL.
Pallbearers will be Brian Dowd, Greg Dowd, Royce Bates, Charles Dodd, Mike Snodgrass, and Danny Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be the local Gideons.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
