Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Betty Jane McDaniel Branch, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Eros, LA.

Mrs. Branch was born on January 21, 1931, in West Monroe, LA, and passed away at her residence on March 31, 2018. Betty’s love for her children was unsurpassed. She had a lifelong love for traveling and always looked forward to the next trip, her suitcase was always packed. Playing cards for more than twenty years with her family and friends became a passion for her. Mrs. Branch’s favorite saying was, “There is no love in cards.” She was adored by her son-in-law and daughters-in-law. Mrs. Branch lost the greatest love of her life twenty- four years ago, her husband, John Butler Branch. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brandy Branch.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Sue Norregaard (Raymond), David Haney (Judy), Elvis Branch (Mandie), Kathy Jennings, Paul Branch (Jan) and Randy Branch (Penny); fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; special friends who she treated as her children, Pat Wallace and Debbie McGrew; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Mark Kelly, Steve Kelly, Timothy Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Billy Mitchell, and Bubba Mullins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her special nurses, Pat, Brian, and Natalie, and also to the staff and nurses on 4 North at Glenwood Hospital for all the love and care they have shown.
