Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Rose Haddad Shelton, 66, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Msgr. Edmund Moore and Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Shelton, owner of Creative Keepsakes and Shelton Properties, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe, a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and Sigma Kappa Sorority. She received her B.S. in Home Economics from Louisiana Tech University.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Michael Shelton; daughter-in-law, Ashley Evans Shelton; granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Shelton; grandson, Matthew Michael Shelton, all of Carmel, IN; brothers, W. J. Haddad and wife Jeanne of Des Moines, IA, and Michael D. Haddad and wife Pennie of Monroe, LA; nieces, Madeleine C. Haddad of Monroe, LA, Amelia K. Haddad of Monroe, LA, and Jennifer Haddad Skillern and husband Kevin of Winchester, KY; nephews, Elliott Haddad of Monroe, LA, Michael D. Haddad, Jr. and wife Elaine of Memphis, TN, Robert L. Haddad of New York, NY, Rhyan C. Haddad of Monroe, LA, and David Haddad and wife Shannon of West Des Moines, IA; and great nieces, Natalie E. Haddad of Memphis, TN, and Peyton L. Skillern and Avrey B. Skillern of Winchester, KY.

Pallbearers will be David Haddad, Michael D. Haddad, Jr., Robert L. Haddad, Rhyan C. Haddad, Kevin Skillern, Freddie Haddad, Michael Correro, and Steve Correro.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and a Vigil Wake Service at 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
