Funeral Services for Mrs. Bonnie Marie Carney Evans, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Tuck Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Luna Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was born January 20, 1921 in Jacksonville, TX and passed away on March 27, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. She was a charter member of Riverview Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans was an Avon Representative for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lee Edward Evans and sister, Lessie South.
She is survived by her son, Larry J. Evans and wife Claudia of West Monroe, LA; grandson, Chris Evans and wife Lisa of Plano, TX; granddaughters, Donna Peters and husband Michael of West Monroe, LA, Nikki Russell and husband Dan of West Monroe, LA, Terri Ainsworth of West Monroe, LA; grandson, Jeff Ainsworth and wife Kim of Rayville, LA; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Albany Peters and Mason Evans; one niece, and numerous great nieces and nephews all of Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
