Funeral services for Candelaria (LaLa) Pino Apodaca, 85, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2008, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Dr. George Wortham officiating. Burial will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mrs. Apodaca was born August 27, 1922 and passed from this world Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. A native of El Paso, Texas, she had lived in West Monroe since 1987 and was retired from the restaurant business. Preceding her in death are her husband, Raul Apodaca; her parents, Domingo and Isabel Pino; two sisters, Lucia (Chia) Pino and Regina (Kina) Lopez; one brother, Miguel Pino; and one grandson, Robert (Bobby) Campbell Sr.
Survivors include daughter, Maria Elena Flores Gaines and husband Shelby; four grandchildren, Candi Summerville, Sherrie Roberson, David Campbell, and Darryl Campbell; three step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; a very special nephew, Ruben Pino and wife Yolie; and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Burgess, Casey Roberson, Roger Roberson, Michael Summerville, Michael Summerville Jr., and Billy Fenn.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
