Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline O’Brien Savage, 82, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with MSGR Edmund Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Savage passed away Monday, October 26, 2009. Lindy, as she was known to her family and closest friends, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life.  She was a charter member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar Society, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Mortar Board at LSU, Junior Charity League, Bayou Desiard Country Club, and the Ladies Golf Association. She loved  horses and golfing.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nora O’Brien; brother, Robert E. O’Brien; and daughter, Darby Savage.
 
Survivors include her husband of  sixty-one years, John F. Savage; children, Kathi Savage of Monroe, LA, Sue Savage Bohac and husband Larry of Conroe, TX, Mike Savage, Sandy Savage, Patti Savage, Aimee Savage Anthony and husband David, and Caroline Savage Cascio and husband Rodney, all of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Chris Bohac and wife Jamie, Jenni Bohac Adams and husband Jim Bob, Patrick Savage, Brian Savage, Stephen Anthony and fiancé, Jeré Erskin, Lindsey Anthony, John Cascio, and Katherine Casico; great grandchildren, Taylor Bohac and Jaxson Bohac; sister Margaret “Miki” Stagg and husband Tom; brother, James Charles O’Brien, Jr and wife Marilyn.; sisters-in-law, Mary Hart and Ann O’Brien.
 
She is also survived by special friends, Evelyn “Tiny” Hall, Steve and Sallie Sutherland, and Suzanne Ratz.
 
Pallbearers will be Stephen Anthony, Chris Bohac, Patrick Savage, Brian Savage, Mike O’Brien,  Kevin O’Brien, Chuck O’Brien, and Bob O’Brien, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Cascio, Cary O'Brien, and Chris O'Brien.
 
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2009 with a Vigil Wake at 6:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
 
Memorials may be made to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and School or The Wellspring Alliance for Families, Inc.
