Services for Mrs. Christine C. Hutts Stone, of Hot Springs, AR, will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Hasley Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.
Mrs. Stone was born on July 4, 1916 in Morris Illinois, and passed away on September 25, 2009 in Hot Springs, AR.
Mrs. Stone was a graduate of North Central College Naperville, IL, receiving her BA and obtained a Masters in Counseling and Education from LA Tech University. She served as Dean of Women at Hebron Lutheran College, taught school at West Monroe Junior High School and St. Christopher’s School and served a term as a guidance counselor at River Oaks School. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents, James Hubert and Louise Osmon Crain; brothers, James Hubert Crain, Jr., Osmon Alexander Crain, and grandson, Jason Charles Hutts.
Survivors include her husband, John S. “Jack” Stone of Hot Springs, AR; sons, Robert Crain Hutts and wife Nancy of Hot Springs, AR; and Gregory Charles Hutts and wife Carol of Monroe, LA ; grandchildren, Robert Christopher Hutts and wife Laura of Hickory, NC; Holly Hutts Stroud and husband Eric of Jonesboro, AR; and Andrew Clifton Hutts of Farmerville, LA; niece, Nancy Crain Castlebury and husband John of Nova Scotia; and nephew, Steven A. Crain of Hot Springs, AR.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
