Services for Mr. Claude Daniel Templeton, 87 of Rayville, LA will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Rayville with Rev. Todd Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville. Mr. Templeton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rayville, a farmer, and retired school bus driver. He loved to operate heavy equipment, and his last venture was owner-operator of Templeton Trucking. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Templeton was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years; Margaret Ann Templeton, his parents; King and Lula Bell Templeton, 2 brothers; Wesley and Woodrow Templeton, 2 sisters; Vernie Ellis and Jettie Charbono, and 1 grandson; Shawn Chance. Survivors include:4 children: Sandy Johns and husband Hank of North Little Rock, AR.Debbie Shoemaker and husband Mike of Rayville, LA.Rhonda Moore and husband Matt of Columbia, MO.Ken Templeton and Amy Atkins of Rayville, LA.Very special friend: Rosie Brown of Winnsboro, LA.8 grandchildren: Lori Cobb, Clay Johns, Mecca Chance, Ty Chance, Morgan Mercer, Madison Moore, Mallory Moore, and Shelby Templeton.2 great grandchildren: Thomas Moore and Troy Mercer.A host of other family and friends. Pallbearers are: Dave Herrick, Mike Templeton, Mike Ellis, Mark Wilson, Jonathan Littleton, and Ben Clack. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening, December 13th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville.
