Funeral services for Connie Speir Gregory, 81, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday June 9, 2015, in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Oda Wayne “Tuck” Roberts and Rev. Jim Wolf officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Gregory passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. She was a retired Elementary School teacher and a member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church. She will be remembered as an ideal Pastor’s wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all.Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Conner and Velma McCarty Speir.Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Rev. Cecil Gregory; children, Charles Eugene Gregory, Sr., Joseph Conner Gregory and wife April, Robert Edwin Gregory, David Lyndon Gregory and wife Pam, Marjorie Ellene Berry and husband Don; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Ellene Turcotte and husband Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be George Thames, Bert Turcotte, “Bubba” Schooler, Charles Eugene Gregory, Jr., Anthony Neal Gregory, and Jim Wilson.Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time Tuesday, at the funeral home.
