Connie Waterman of Monroe, Louisiana passed away peacefully on July 18, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. The family will receive visitors at Mulhearn Funeral Home (Sterlington Road) from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday July 22 before services at 11 a.m. with Reverend Sebastian Kallarackal officiating. The family will hold a reception at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church following services.
Connie was born in Thibodeaux, Louisiana on October 30, 1944. She attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe while also an employee there, and graduated in December 1999. She was a wonderful, beloved wife for forty-three years and the best mother and grandmother a child could have.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Tony and her step-father, Bill Martin, and her brother Perry.
She is survived by her mother Nancy, her husband Mike Waterman, her sons Jeff and Jamie Waterman, her daughter Amy Hall, her brother Mark, and her sister Penny. She also had seven grandchildren: John Martin, Daryn, Aaron, Harley, Mary Blaire, Ayden, and Perry.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis Tennessee, 38105-1942.
Connie was loved by her family and the world is truly a poorer place than it was just a few days ago.
