.Dennis BlankenshipA memorial service for Dennis Blankenship, 60, of West Monroe, will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, April 6, 2015, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Frank Valenzano, Rev. Clarence Powell, and Rev. Craig West officiating. Mr. Blankenship passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Blankenship was an employee of Graphic Packaging since 1975. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe and was devoted to his wife, sisters and family. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Karan Powell Blankenship; two sisters, Rhonda Hart and Sandra Jackson; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Letha and Reverend Clarence Powell and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 9:30 AM, Monday, April 6, 2015, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter.
