Services for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Horton Hudson, age 89, will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, LA with the Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro, LA.
Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by husband, Fred L. Hudson, her parents, George, Sr. and Effie Horton, brothers, Walter K. Horton and G.W. “Dub” Horton and sister, Norma”Pat” Horton McHugh. She was a graduate of Northeast Jr. College and LA Tech. She was a retired secretary for LA Gas Services.
She is survived by a brother, Robert A. Horton and wife, Chris of Monroe, LA, nieces, Jane Horton Folden and husband Kenneth, Jill Horton Maxwell and husband, Mike of Jonesboro, LA, Holly Horton Reems and husband, Billy of Humble, TX, and Mary Horton Reighney and husband, Tom of Jennings, LA and nephews,Wesley Horton and wife, Freda of Jonesboro, LA, Micheal A. Horton of Lexington, KY and Robert A. McHugh of Jonesboro, LA
Pallbearers will be Howard Anderson, Gene Enfinger, Lindsey Johnson, Kelly Martin, John Stapp, and J.W. Mercer
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2009 in the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel.
