Services for Mrs. Dorothy Louise Kennedy, age 90, of Start, LA will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ernest Winburn and Rev. Andy Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Start Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Kennedy, a member of Start Baptist Church went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2008. She was born Nov. 25, 1917 to the late Wallace W. Moore and Cora Mathews Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ernest Kennedy, a brother Harold Moore and a great grandson Jackson Kennedy.
She is survived by a sister Mary Helen Moore Garland of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and four children, Betty Kennedy Trichel and her husband Jim of Swartz, LA, James W. "Jim" Kennedy and his wife Jean, Gregory K. Kennedy and his wife Shirley and Cathy Kennedy Cooper and her husband Rickey all of Start, LA as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Grandsons, Todd Kennedy, Jeff Kennedy, Chip Kendall, Heath Sullivan, Tony Trichel, Toby Trichell, Matt Kennedy, Jamie Kennedy and Jarred Kennedy will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Massey Finely.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Roland Ponarski, nurses and staff of Richardson Medical Center as well as her special friends at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
