Funeral Services for Mr. Eldridge Williamson, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 24, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the Lapine Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Williamson was born on November 4, 1923 and passed away on April 22, 2010 in West Monroe, LA. He attended New Life Assembly of God in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Williamson was retired from Manville Paper Company with over 40 years of service. At the mill he was known as “Bear”. He loved gardening and his cows. Mr. Williamson was a WWII Army Veteran and was wounded in Germany in 1945. For his service he received the Purple Heart and also the Good Conduct Medal. He is preceded in death by his parents, Greely and Elma Williamson; brothers, Elbert, Leon, Ovie, and Olan; and by his sisters, Dorothy Street and Ethel Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Eunice Williamson; daughters, Carolyn Hemphill and husband, W.D. and Annette Hill and husband, Robert both of West Monroe, LA; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Nolan Williamson and wife, Minnie of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Margaret Bonnett of West Monroe, LA and Versa Mae McDanell of Hebert, LA; and numerous of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Kilpatrick, Evan Kilpatrick, Mitchell Lee, Johnny Hite, Scott Owens and Josh Tiab.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
