Elizabeth Waddill Russell

Elizabeth Waddill Russell, also known as Betty was born in Baton Rouge, La. on August 13, 1926, and died Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was preceded on death by her parents Dr. Burg Waddill and Alice Bowes Waddill. She is survived by one sister Adele Ransom and a nephew Burg Waddill Ransom. Betty graduated from a girls high school, Eleanor McMain, in New Orleans and received her B.A. and Masters Degree from LSU. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Tri Delta Fraternity, a member of D.A.R. and the P.E.O. Her love for her dogs and her flowers kept her active for many years. She was full of compassion and kindness and will be sorely missed.
