Charles Dupree and Rev. David Chapman officiating. Burial will be at New Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Ester was born September 26, 1928 in Quitman, LA. Ester was a Christian wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She and her husband traveled throughout the United Stated, Europe, Africa, Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan while he served in the Air Force. During these years, she was a devoted, caring mother and homemaker. In 1974, she and her husband became owners and brokers of a successful real estate business.

She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. She also loved flowers, birds, and her cat, Shadow Kitty. She took joy in being anonymously benevolent to others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Leroy Dean and Willie Carter Dean, brothers, Curtis Dean and Ferman Dean, sister, Rivers Dean Clement, and beloved granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Kellogg.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Troy Lamar Kennedy, daughter Susan Kennedy Frank and husband John of West Monroe, LA, son, Troy L. Kennedy, Jr. and wife Jane of Fulshear, TX, and daughter, Ann Kennedy Kellogg and husband Robert of West Monroe, LA. She also leaves three grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud, Abigail Kennedy Hilderbrand and husband John of Tallulah, LA, Jesse H. Darling of New York City, NY, and Troy “Trey” L. Kennedy, III of Louisville, KY. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers are members of her Sunday School class at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church: G. W. McVay, Ed Greer, Buck Brister, Irving Sills, Jeroldon Coker, and Billy Martin.

She will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices in the knowledge that she entered the pearly gates of Heaven and walked down the streets of gold to find her mansion prepared for her. She can now worship the Lord forever.

Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2
