Funeral Services for Mrs. Ethel Dunn McConkey, 72, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, La. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. McConkey passed away in West Monroe, LA on Febraury 23, 2010.
Mrs. McConkey was a homemaker, raising four sons and she also found time to help in their grocery businesses, Kenny and Sons and later, Ken and Ethels.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Justin McConkey and 6 brothers and sisters
Survivors: her husband of 53 years, Kenneth McConkey; 4 Sons, Douglas McConkey, Kent McConkey and wife, Lisa, Michael McConkey and wife, Leslie and William McConkey and wife, Donna; Sister, Mrs. Opal Lachney and husband, Harry; Brother, William Dunn and wife, Pat; 7 Grandchildren, Kyle, Joshua, Kensley, Hayden, Karagan, Luke and Madison McConkey; numerous nieces and nephews; and her precious little dog, Layla.
Pallbearers will be James, Carroll and Todd Dunn, Johnny and Victor Johnson and Mike Groan.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
