Mrs. Lofton was born in Eros, Louisiana, on November 15, 1928, and passed away on July 29, 2007, in Monroe, Louisiana. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Gaye Holmes, and five sons, Danny R. Holmes and wife Sandra; Freddy J. Holmes and wife Sherry; S. Michael Holes and wife Annette; Thomas E. Holmes and wife Mitzi; and Russell T. Vaughan and wife Stephanie; two sisters Elva McCurry and Clara Blanton; one brother Gordia Diffey, many nieces and nephews, 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 30, 2007 at Brownville Assembly of God Church.
