Gerald Glenn Estess, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 1, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA. Funeral procession will begin at Mulhearn Funeral Home. Please arrive by 10 A.M.

Mr. Estess graduated from West Monroe High School in 1966. He married Bonita Brents in 1968. Gerald served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was employed with Miller Brewery for 30 years in Albany, GA and Fort Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Estess, mother, Gertie Estess and sister, Brenda Reed.

Survivors: his wife of 42 years, Bonita Estess; precious daughter, Hope Estess; son, Bryan Estess and daughter-in-law, Susan Estess; grandson, Ian Larson; granddaughter and light of his life, Tori Estess; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Gerald had an extensive family, numerous friends and a blessed church family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to KinderFrogs School at TCU, TCU Box 297415 Fort Worth, TX 76129, and put “In memory of Gerald Estess for Cannon Sharp.” KinderFrogs is a pre-school developmental program for young children with Down Syndrome.
