A 1954 graduate of Ouachita High School, Glenda grew up in Swartz, Louisiana, a long way from where her career took her. Her extensive career in Biomedical Science began on the Emory University Campus in Atlanta as a research assistant and through her education and experience, she advanced to the position of Director of the Oscar F. Peterson Biomedical Resource Center at the Medical College of WI in Milwaukee. Columbia University, University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston and the State University of New York (SUNY) Brooklyn also benefitted from Glenda’s talent as an administrator.

Few people could conger an image just by saying their name, and she was certainly one of them. As a teacher and mentor, she changed the lives of many technicians in the Biomedical Research Community.

Hosting dinners in her home, entertaining was a favorite for Glenda. You never knew what you were going to eat but those who had the privilege, knew it was going to be delicious! In her retirement, photography was a passion for Glenda as she spent lots of time photographing orchids at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
