Funeral services for Gloria Pitman Pardue, 84 of Mangham will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Mangham United Methodist Church with Rev. Marshall Sevier officiating. Interment will follow in Gwin Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.
Gloria was born on October 25, 1933 in Rayville, LA and passed away on March 3, 2018 at Glenwood Medical Center. She was a member of Mangham United Methodist Church. Gloria graduated from Rayville High School in 1952 and Northeast Louisiana State College in 1956. She was a true wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Gloria’s devotion was to her family. Her passions were sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Bell and Tatum Henry Pitman.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Guy Cecil “Buddy” Pardue; daughter, Linda Pardue Franklin and husband, Fred Scott Franklin, Sr.; son,Guy Daniel Pardue and wife, Leah Walley Pardue; grandchildren,Fred Scott Franklin, Jr. and wife, Courtney Wolfe Franklin, Caroline Elizabeth Franklin, Annabeth Pardue, Sara Grace Pardue, and fiancé Coleman Eyres Thomas; great grandchild, Fred Scott Franklin III; sister-Delores “Tency” Pitman Tarver.
Pallbearers are Scott Franklin, Coleman Thomas, Bill Crawford, Hunter Fife, Lee Thomason, Tracey Weems, and Vic Jordan.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Ralph Abraham, Dr. Kyle Bruyninckx, and the entire staff at Abraham Medical Clinic. A special thank you from the family is also extended to Thelma Harris for her many years of loyalty and devotion.
Visitation will be at Mangham United Methodist Church from 9:00Am until time of service Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to Mangham United Methodist Church.
