Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Bryant Peden, 90, of Monroe, will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2007, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Peden passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Avalon Place. She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a retired cafeteria worker for Lakeshore Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Peden.
Survivors include her two sons, Bobby Peden and wife Alice of Ruston, LA, and David Peden and wife Pam D. of Monroe; daughter, Betty Smith and husband Donald R of Monroe; six grandchildren, Don Smith, Jr. and wife Brenda, Danny Smith, Diane Smith, Kevin Peden and wife Ramona, Keith Peden and wife Eve, and Alex Peden; two great granddaughters, Allie and Devin Peden; two great grandsons, Logan and Chase Peden; brother-in-law, Alvin Frank of Blanchard, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Don Smith, Jr., Danny Smith, Kevin Peden, Keith Peden, Logan Peden, and Alex Peden.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
