A Memorial Service for Irene Quinn Renaud Weakley, 94, will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 7:00 PM with Fr. Frank Coen officiating.

“Quincy” was born on February 3, 1913 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away Sunday January 27, 2008. She was a resident of West Monroe.

“Quincy” lived a full and rewarding life. She was one of Monroe’s earliest Dance teachers. She taught dance with her sister, Armadine Renaud and eventually taught in Columbia and Ruston.
She later made a career, of 25 years, at Ouachita National Bank as an officer in the accounting department. She loved to travel, work in her yard, give parties, and to spend time with her family and friends. One of her greatest joys for many years was tap dancing with her “Golden Girls”, of which she was a charter member. She tap danced until she was 82 years young. What a Woman!
She was preceded in death by her Parents Teresa Rose Bres and Adolph Joseph Renaud, two Brothers Bernard and Francis Renaud, four Sisters Katye Renaud, Sibyl Renaud, Armadine Renaud, and Mildred Renaud Voorhees.

Survivors include: Two Nephews Lloyd and Bobby Voorhees, and Two Nieces, Jackie Voorhees and Janet Voorhees Golson, and many Great, Great- Great and Great- Great-Great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

A special word of appreciation is expressed to Dr. Furgerson and Dr. Ron Hammett, and all the wonderful nurses in the ICU Unit at Glenwood, for their special care and kindness to “Quincy”. Most of all, our heartfelt thanks to her great niece, Susan Monroe, her care taker for the past three years, who gave “Quincy” such loving care and many many more happy days.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paschal’s Building Fund.
