Funeral Services for Iris Brantley Savell, 61, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Pastor Shane Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Dean Cemetery, Union Parish.

Iris Brantley Savell was born on March 29, 1953 and passed away on October 11, 2014 at Glenwood Hospital after a short hard battle with cancer.

She traveled extensively with pipeline work until opening her own business, Choices Boutique, where she never met a stranger. She was a proud sponsor and active in the Miss Louisiana Pageants. She was an active member of First Assembly of West Monroe. Iris loved to talk about Jesus and would stop and pray for anyone in need. A lover of all animals, she would feed any stray that came looking for a meal. She had two special little ones that were her heart, Tiki and Precious, her 14 year old yorkies. Iris will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Ann Brantley; and brother, Junior Morris Brantley.

Survivors include her father, Tommy Lee Brantley and wife, Rita; son, Christopher Sean Harrell and wife, Wendy; sister, Wanda Simmons; step-brother, Joel Lake; uncle, Houston Rhodes and wife, Betty; grandchildren, Brittany and Natalie Harrell, Shelby Simpson and Devin Tate; step grandchildren, Reagan Baird, Brad Guinther and wife, Ashton, Kyle Guinther and wife, Jenny; great-grandchildren, Kason Simpson and Bryson Guinther; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Brad Guinther, James Oliver, Shannon Rhodes, Monte Rhodes, Virgil Brantley and Lee Brantley. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Thad Simmons and Chad Simmons.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
