Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Jones

Family and friends will celebrate the life of Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Johnson Jones, 63, of Monroe, LA, at 2:00PM Thursday, July 6, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe, with Rev. Johnny Funderburg officiating.
Jackie was born on October 23, 1953, and passed away on July 3, 2017, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Snow Jack Johnson, her mother, Maurine Floyd, and her husband Bill Floyd.
Jackie was a nurse for over 25 years in Gastroenterology. She loved working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. She also loved to play the piano. She enjoyed watching her brother coach football and loved spending time with her two grandsons, who were her heart, Jack Wesley and Bain Keith. They affectionately called her "Sassy." Her family and friends will miss her smile, her infectious laugh, and her kind spirit. She never met a stranger and her friends and family will miss her sense of humor and long chats. All who knew her well knew Jackie loved to talk on the phone!
Survivors include her husband, James E. “Jimmy” Jones; three children, Jennifer Johnson Keith and husband Wes; Jay Johnson and Chad Jones; grandchildren, Jack Wesley Keith and William Bain Keith; brother, Bill Johnson and wife Dawn; niece, Abby Johnson; and nephew, Billy Johnson.
Visitation will be from 12noon until service time Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
