Funeral services for Mr. James Jacob Wallace, 84, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 3, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.
Mr. Wallace was born on September 28, 1924 in Bogue Chitto, MS and passed away on June 30, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Army Air Corps and retired from United Gas. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Bertie Wallace; brother, Rastus Wallace and sister, Reo Hart.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Huckaby Wallace; children, Linda Williamson and husband Bruce, Jimmy Wallace and wife Lorna, and Debbie Austin and husband Glenn; grandsons, Jeffrey Wallace, David Williamson and wife Samantha, Jody Wallace, Jonathan Austin and Jason Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wallace’s Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
