James Michael Dodds

James Michael (Jim) Dodds (73) passed away on 2 November 2018 at the NE LA War Veterans Home, in Monroe, Louisiana. Jim is survived by his daughters, Laura Dodds, Brooke Dodds Smith and her husband Allen Smith along with their children, Peyton and Saylor. His ex-wife Barbara Nolan Frazier, his sister Judith Anne Dodds Barnett and her husband Francis Victor Barnett from Dayton Ohio. His parents James Lowell Dodds and Velda Lucille Parcel Dodds preceded him in death. Jim was born in Los Angeles California on 21 October 1944, and proceeded to attend school in Ruston Louisiana at Ruston High School and Louisiana Polytechnic University. He was co-owner of the family business, Dodds Shoes, alongside his parents. Jim was a faithful supporter of the Louisiana Military Museum, attending events there regularly. He was proud to have served in the United States Navy as a corpsman with the Marines in Vietnam. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Louisiana Military Museum.
