Services for Mr. Jerry E. Breithaupt, 73 of Winnsboro, will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro, with Rev. Floyd Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Breithaupt was a pharmacist, and loved working at Winnsboro Drug, was an avid hunter and marksman, loved shooting his guns. He loved helping people, spending time with family and spoiling the grandchildren. He loved his career. He received his Golden Certificate for practicing pharmacy for 50 years. He was in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, stationed in Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio and Captain in the Army, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include: Wife of 36 ½ years, Merilyn Breithaupt of Winnsboro, children; Jerry Emile Breithaupt, Jr. and wife Shari of Gilbert, AZ, Lee Karlowitz and wife Maryam of Baltimore, MD, and Jarrod Breithaupt of Monroe, LA, 7 grandchildren; Sarah Karlowitz, Rachel Karlowitz, Rebecca Karlowitz, Emily Breithaupt, Graycee Breithaupt, Jeremy Karlowitz, and Jace Breithaupt, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are: David McLemore, Joe Doughty, Terry Johnson, Dr. John Little, J. D. Wilson, and Dr. W. E. Marionneaux, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Michael Gilmore, Curtis Hilbun, and Vince Danna.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 9th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
