Services for Jessie Hames Walton, 86, will be held 3:00PM Friday, June 22, 2007, in the chapel of Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. David Worthington and Elder Larry Lawrence officiating.
Mrs. Walton was born in El Dorado, AR, June 1, 1921 to the union of Maude Moore and John William Hames. She died on June 20, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home.
Mrs. Walton was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed caring and cooking for her family. Her friends will remember her vivacious character and quick wit. Family and friends alike enjoyed the homemade jellies, relishes and other treats she would create with love in her kitchen. She was a member of Bayou Desiard Country Club and the LaPetit Mason Garden Club. Mrs. Walton was also an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, R. R. “Walt” Walton and her parents Maude and John Hames.
Survivors include a son, Randy Walton and wife Aletha of Monroe, LA; daughter, Debbie Davis and husband Joe of Monroe, LA; five grandchildren, Robbie and Jarrod Walton, John, Walt, and Katie Garlington; two great grandchildren, Alexa Garlington and Maddix Walton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00PM until service time at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
