Sunday June 17, 2007 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Terry Ware officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.   Mr. Coates died June 15, 2007 at his residence in Calhoun, LA.  Mr. Coates was a member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ in Monroe.  He was retired from Graphic Packaging after 39 years.   Survivors include his wife Monika M. Coates; daughter, Natalie Bannister and husband Danny; mother, Nellie Coates; brother Leroy Coates; sister, Judy Whitlock and husband Lewis; grandchildren, Jerica and Dashall Bannister.   Pallbearers will be Roy Price, Ed Turnage, Kenneth Childress, Richard Arrant, Clifford Osbon and Nick Rogers.
