Memorial services for Mr. Jimmy W. Rector, 73, of Swartz, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Swartz with Dr. Collin Wimberly officiating.
Jim was born September 8, 1934 in Anderson, IN and died May 22, 2008 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Swartz. He worked for thirty-five years at the General Motors Guide Plants in Anderson, IN and Monroe, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harper and Wanda Rector.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Rector; son, Dan Rector and wife Pat; granddaughter, November Chadwick; sister, Nancy Vaughn and husband Larry; brother-in-law, Fletcher Downey and wife Kathleen; sister-in-law, Susie Weisheit and husband Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Swartz, 1983 Hwy 139, Monroe, LA 71203 or to the charity of your choice.
