Funeral services for Mr. Joe Kenneth Evans, 67, of Fairbanks, LA, will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, May 28, 2007, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Clarence Powell officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
Mr. Evans passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Mount Albert Evans; mother, Daisy Viola Bogie Wilcher; stepfather, Austin Wilcher; stepmother, Nina Evans; brother, Frankie Wilcher, and stepsisters, Virginia Sykes and Annette Dugat.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Evans; daughter, Cindy Hollis; son, Ronnie Brodnax; sisters, Judy Blakley, Patti Bareis, and Reba Matlock; brothers, Ralph Evans, Terry Wilcher, Albert Evans, Gary Evans, and Randy Wilcher; stepsister, June Moore; stepbrother, Jimmy Wilcher; stepsons, Cliff Andrews and Freddie Griffin; stepdaughters, Michelle Hunt and Tonya Jernigan; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Andy Brewer, Paul Evans, Kenny Evans, Dustin Hollis, Benji Evans, Stacey Salvage, and Danny Donaldson.
Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 PM until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
