Funeral service for Mr. John F. “Billy” Davis, Jr., 74, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 3, 2007, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. John Dallalio officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born on April 24, 1933 and passed away on December 31, 2007, at St. Francis North Hospital. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Davis was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church and retired from Century Ready Mix. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Olla Davis; and the love of his life, wife, Eva Jean Davis.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Rogers of Monroe, LA; son, Johnny Davis and wife Debbie of Beaumont, TX; daughter, Melba Wheeler and husband David of Choudrant, LA; grandchildren, Nancy Hall and husband Kevin, Billy Davis and wife Amanda, Skylar Wheeler, and Jenni Henges and husband Jim; great grandchildren, Noah Wyrick, Makalya Thomas, William Henges, Andrew Henges, Katie Lynn Hall and Walyon John Davis.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 12:00 Noon until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis North Hospital and Cornerstone Hospital .
