Funeral services for Mr. John “Jack” W. Morrison, 80, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Rick Crandell officiating assisted by Mr. Joey Meggs, President of Premier Products. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Jack was born and raised in Monroe, LA on March 14, 1929. He passed away on September 23, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He retired from Premier Products where he worked as a Sales Representative for 33 ½ years. He attended McClendon Baptist Church and was a regular member of Adult IV, Jim Merriweather’s Sunday School Class. Jack was a very kind and generous person who was a loyal and loving husband and friend. He was also a good provider for his family.

Jack is preceded in death by his mother and father, three sisters, Louise Kettler, Margaret Collins, and Mary Herrington; and two brothers, Jimmy and Richard Morrison.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Nell Morrison of 30 years; son, Jessie Paul Morrison and wife, Amy; daughter, Dianne M. Gregory and husband, Matt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His pallbearers will be Joey Meggs, Maxie Berry, David Ford, James Gardner, Simmie Hines, and Edwin Turnage. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Battaglia and the Jim Merriweather Sunday School Class of McClendon Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The family would like to thank his doctors, Dr. William Smith and staff, Dr. Ronald Koepke and Dr. Charles Joyce and staff for their excellent care; also, Mrs. Margaret Butler with Agape Hospice.
