John Lewis DukesJohn Lewis Dukes, 64 of Monroe, Louisiana, an automotive service writer, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. Following his wishes, there will be no memorial service or visitation, and he will be cremated under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Deborah Taylor Dukes; son, Ryan Dukes; stepson, Shane Dossett and wife Jennifer; two grandsons, Thomas Dossett and Cole Dossett; brother, Dr. Thomas A Dukes, Sr. and wife Joyce; niece, Amy Dukes and husband Michael Chin; nephews, Thomas A Dukes, Jr.; great nephews, Clark Chin and Blake Chin. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Lee Miller, ENT, of Monroe; Dr. Brian Moore of Oschner’s of New Orleans; the staff and physicians at Cornerstone Hospital, especially the respiratory and ICU nursing staff; and Dr. Tommy Smith and Dr. Donald Hammett for their honesty, compassion and guidance.
