Joseph Clayton Young, Sr.

Funeral services for Joseph Clayton Young, Sr., 75, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Joe Young, Sr. was born on March 26, 1941 in Monroe, LA and passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in Monroe, LA. He made his living as a paint contractor and owner of Quality Painting of Monroe. In his spare time he devoted many hours at coaching youth baseball. After his retirement he spent his time doing what he loved, hunting and fishing with his kids, grandkids, and friends. He will be remembered for his love for his family, his quick wit, and his personality that was like no other.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruby Jewel Fletcher.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Young; son, Joe Young, Jr. and wife Donna, daughters, Ellie Loflin and husband Mike, Debbie Hammett, Donna Piquiet and husband Will; stepdaughter, Kim Trichell and husband Danny; stepson, Chuck Henson; grandchildren, Heather Blackwell and husband Josh, Christopher Young and wife Ashley, William Loflin and wife Krystal, Jessica Blackwell and husband Nat, Christina Casey and husband Brandon, Eddie James and wife Tracie, Tabetha Thompson, William “Bill Jr.” Dombrowki and wife Cassie, Patrick Dombrowski; step-grandchildren, Jacob Blakley, Josh Blakley and wife Emily, Jody Blakley, Robin Duckworth and husband Scooter, Joshua Trichell, David Keith Trichell, Casey Trichell, Maci Trichell, and Colton Henson; and thirty great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie James, William Loflin, William “Bill Jr.” Dombrowski, Christopher Young, Patrick Dombrowski, and Joshua Trichell. Honorary pallbearers will be David Keith Trichell, Josh Blackwell, Nat Blackwell, and Brandon Casey.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2017 at the funeral home.
