Karen R. BeDoit

Funeral services for Karen BeDoit, 69, of Bernice, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 23, 2017, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hurst officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. BeDoit was born April 5, 1948, in Monroe, LA and passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Monroe, LA. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Truly until his retirement, and later was a manager for Dr.’s Potts and Morestead. Karen was a breast cancer survivor. “She beat it!” She was a loving sister, mother and wife, always had a good time and loved people.

Mrs. BeDoit was preceded in death by her parents, William Murray Roberts and Christine Roberts.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Gene BeDoit; children, Rebecca “Becky” BeDoit, Heath BeDoit and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Brooke, Gabriel and Maggie; sister, Trish LaGrone and husband Lamar; brother, Phil Roberts and wife Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Napoli and his nurse, Fandy; and Dr. Morgan and his nurse practitioner, Penny.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
