Lawrence Robert Turner was born December 3, 1932, in Oak Grove, LA, and died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his residence in Monroe. He retired from the United States Air Force, worked at CenturyLink for several years, then started Mountain Valley Water distribution in Bastrop, LA. He later worked visitations and enjoyed visiting with people at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Robert Turner, Jr. and 6 siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Alvene K. Turner; children, Beverly G. Turner Romans and husband Alan, and Gary Turner and wife Kimberly; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Clifton Columbus Turner, Jr.
