Leah Ann White Redding passed on March 27, 2021, following a brief illness.

Leah was born February 5, 1935, in St. Louis, MO, to John M. and Lorena S. White. She married the love of her life, Prentice Lee Redding on October 6, 1951. Together, they had three boys, David Lee, Bruce Allen, and Michael Scott.

Leah spent her life in dedication to servitude. Leah devoted her life to Christ and started every morning on her knees in prayer and her days were spent raising her children, grandchildren, and many others whom she cared for in their early years. She was dedicated in making her house a home in which she would welcome any and every one with a pot of hot coffee, a table full of all the fixin’s, and a loving safe place for all who entered. She opened her home and her heart to so many throughout the years, generously caring for anyone in need and considering everyone family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Prentice Redding; son, Bruce Redding; mother, Lorena White; father, John White; and sister, Linda Bryan.

She is survived by her sons, David Redding and wife Marla, and Scott Redding and wife Angela; brother, Michael White and wife Debi; sister, Kathleen Dyke; daughter-in-law, Sharon Shaw Pasley; 8 grandchildren, Jason Redding and wife Jen; Mark Redding and wife Anna, Jeremy Redding and wife Beth, Nathan Redding and wife Misty, Jeanna Vermillion and husband Chad, Julie Givens, Megan Redding, Chase Redding and wife Kelsey;19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Leah Ann White Redding will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Mr. Don DeLukie officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 29, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Redding, Mark Redding, Jeremy Redding, Nathan Redding, Chase Redding and Matthew Redding.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Barbara Wilson for her love and care of Mamaw through the years.
