Funeral Services for Mrs. Lela Owens Head, 94, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Cypress Baptist Church in West Monroe with Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Cypress Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Head passed away on November 28, 2008. She was a member of Cypress Baptist Church. She was a retired rural mail carrier for the United States Post Office. She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas D. Head.
She is survived by her son, W. D. Head and wife Elsie; daughter, Wanda Sue Russell; grandchildren, Dan Head and wife Lori of Calhoun, LA, Darren Pierce and wife Leslie of Murfresboro, TN, Kenyeon DeGodt and husband Dennis of Lewisville, TX; brother, John Owens of West Monroe, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
